So they came! Eight adults, six kids all in taco heaven! My friends brought dips and appetizers so we enjoyed munching on those for a while. Lisa makes the best corn dip! I've made it a couple of times but it doesn't come out as good. She also made a bean dip (very spicey). I made guacamole and had some black bean salsa and sour cream. Albie brought some homemade salsa. After the eats, we played an 80s music trivia game. And then the guitars came out...
The boys had to get the Guitar Hero out - I don't think they could help themselves.
Here we are! From L-R Allen and Natalie Watson, Phil and Tara Noblett, Joel and Lisa Turner, Ashlyn, Jay and me! And those are little Mary's hands up in the air in front of me. We wanted an adults only picture but those two little turkeys had to get in on it. Did I mention that we celebrated Lisa's birthday? It was really last week (the day of Alex's bday party) but they were in NC visiting Joel's mother. Mary and I decided to bake a cake and decorate it for her. It turned out well! Happy Birthday Lisa!
Ashlyn spent the night and they had a good time. They stayed up late and had their "slumber" party. But I couldn't complain because they kept it neat and quiet. We had a pancake breakfast this morning and are now just enjoying the fact that we have nowhere that we have to be today! Yeah!!! It's a good start to the weekend!
